Deep within the walls of the Ancient Spanish Monastery, the Modern Vintage Collection hit the runway on March 23rd as part of the International Sunny Isles Beach Fashion Show. The 8 looks were inspired by the fashion simplicity of the past, which were styles that focused less on prints and more on the silhouette. The collection ranged from deep V backs, sheer pearl mesh, to embroidery. The iconic embellishments of the era, such as fringe, pearls, feathers, and applique added a dash of elegance.
To add a modern touch, layered textures were added to solid colored fabrics. For one dress, black chiffon flowers with Swarovski crystals created a one-of-a-kind little black dress. Another one had a beaded colorful print capelet that looked effortlessly draped over a lace and wine-colored satin mermaid dress. The high-slit gradient dress went from white to black with a tie featured on its back, which you could arrange either into a knot or sleek bow. The showstopper of the evening was a floor-sweeping sheer white pearled dress. It was embellished with flowy colorful lace applique.
Each dress made its own elegant statement with a style blending classic and modern.
